This character is a Lowercase Letter and is mainly used in the Latin script. Its uppercase variant is Glifo para U+005A Latin Capital Letter Z and its titlecase variant is Glifo para U+005A Latin Capital Letter Z.

The glyph is not a composition. Its East Asian Width is narrow. In bidirectional text it is written from left to right. When changing direction it is not mirrored. The word that U+007A forms with similar adjacent characters prevents a line break inside it. The glyph can be confused with 25 other glyphs.

La z (en mayúscula Z, nombre zeta, plural zetas) es la vigesimoséptima (y última) letra del alfabeto español, su vigesimosegunda consonante, y la vigesimosexta (y también última) letra del alfabeto latino básico. La Ortografía de 2010 desaconseja fuertemente los nombres arcaicos ceta, ceda y zeda.[1]​ Debe distinguirse de la Ζ griega, con cuya mayúscula es homóglifa.
