This character is a Uppercase Letter and is mainly used in the Cirílico script. Its lowercase variant is Glifo para U+0523 Cyrillic Small Letter En with Middle Hook.

The glyph is not a composition. It has no designated width in East Asian texts. In bidirectional text it is written from left to right. When changing direction it is not mirrored. The word that U+0522 forms with similar adjacent characters prevents a line break inside it.

La En con gancho medio (Ԣ ԣ; cursiva: Ԣ ԣ) es una letra del alfabeto cirílico. Su forma se deriva de la letra en (Н н) añadiendo un gancho a la mitad de la pierna derecha.

Se usaba anteriormente en el alfabeto del idioma chuvasio, donde representaba la nasal palatal /ɲ/. Especfíficamente en la ortografía de Yakovlev que se usó entre 1873 y 1938 para representar el sonido [lj].[1]​
