The Adlam script is a script used to write Fulani. The name Adlam is an acronym derived from the first four letters of the alphabet (A, D, L, M), standing for Alkule Dandayษ—e Leรฑol Mulugol (๐žค€๐žคค๐žคณ๐žคต๐žคค๐žคซ ๐žค๐žคข๐žคฒ๐žคฃ๐žคข๐žคด๐žคฏ๐žคซ ๐žค‚๐žคซ๐žคป๐žคฎ๐žคค ๐žคƒ๐žคต๐žคค๐žคต๐žคบ๐žคฎ๐žคค), which means "the alphabet that protects the peoples from vanishing".
