U+22C1 N-Ary Logical Or

U+22C1 was added in Unicode version 1.1 in 1993. It belongs to the block U+2200 para U+22FF Mathematical Operators in the U+0000 para U+FFFF Basic Multilingual Plane.

This character is a Puntuación matemática and is commonly used, that is, in no specific script.

The glyph is not a composition. It has no designated width in East Asian texts. In bidirectional text it acts as Other Neutral. When changing direction it is not mirrored. The word that U+22C1 forms with similar adjacent characters prevents a line break inside it. The glyph can be confused with one other glyph.

The CLDR project calls this character “o lógica n-aria” for use in screen reading software. It assigns these additional labels, e.g. for search in emoji pickers: disyunción, lógica.

El Wikipedia tiene la siguiente información acerca de este punto de código:

In logic, disjunction, also known as logical disjunction or logical or or logical addition or inclusive disjunction, is a logical connective typically notated as and read aloud as "or". For instance, the English language sentence "it is sunny or it is warm" can be represented in logic using the disjunctive formula SW, assuming that S abbreviates "it is sunny" and W abbreviates "it is warm".

In classical logic, disjunction is given a truth functional semantics according to which a formula ϕψ is true unless both ϕ and ψ are false. Because this semantics allows a disjunctive formula to be true when both of its disjuncts are true, it is an inclusive interpretation of disjunction, in contrast with exclusive disjunction. Classical proof theoretical treatments are often given in terms of rules such as disjunction introduction and disjunction elimination. Disjunction has also been given numerous non-classical treatments, motivated by problems including Aristotle's sea battle argument, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, as well as the numerous mismatches between classical disjunction and its nearest equivalents in natural languages.

An operand of a disjunction is a disjunct.
